Stajez Center for the Arts was founded in 1994 by Artistic Director, Sophia Haynes.
It has designed, implemented and facilitated a wide range of cultural youth programs
throughout Boston’s underserved neighborhoods as well as in New York, Rhode Island
and Connecticut.
Fueled by the belief that access to the arts and education should be available and
affordable to all, Stajez has dedicated the past 13 years to creating new and innovative
curriculums within a number of local community centers, public schools and other
organizations. Stajez has been recognized nationally and internationally for it’s
continued efforts in teaching and presenting the arts.
